Empowering Chronic Migraine Sufferers
The TARA Project was awarded €4.5 million under Horizon Europe. The consortium will develop 4 digital solutions for the treatment of chronic migraine that will be particularly applicable to resource-restricted environments, targeting underserved patients. We are working on 4 elements working together seamlessly:
1) A neurostimulation implantable device
2) A wearable device that will power the implantable device
3) A mobile app to control the implant
4) A delivery catheter that reduces tissue trauma and training required for physicians
Our novel platform is a minimally invasive, injectable delivery system, designed specifically to enable non-surgical physicians to deliver.
Through Project TARA's implementation, the procedural cost is effectively eliminated and reduces the overall device cost.
By eliminating procedural expenses, TARA is poised to revolutionise access to treatments, offering a promising solution for enhanced healthcare accessibility in regions where it is needed most.
